Shooting Victim Lying Face-Up On Highway Under White Sheet In Philadelphia: Police

A shooting victim was found lying in the roadway under a white sheet overnight in Philadelphia, police said.

Officers were called to 2900 Westmont Street around 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 for a "hospital case," city police said.

There, they found the unidentified Hispanic man lying face-up in the roadway under a sheet, having suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his face, police said.

Medic Unit #25B responded to the scene prior to the arrival of police and pronounced the victim dead.

The male remains unidentified. There is no motive or arrest; the investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
